At the end of April Royal Mail bring into effect new postal prices for example small packets from 0g – 750g will be £2.70 first class and £2.20 second class (UK). This is bad news for small packet sellers! 
So i have decided to allow all my buyers to accumulate items up to 2 months which  can then  be paid for in one transaction. Saving You the buyer postage & packing costs and me paypal fees and packaging costs.

Grandma’s fashions from various eras

Grandma

Recently i was looking through  some old family photos and i came across a lot of my Grandma (Dad’s mum) Eleanor  who was born in Linlithgow, Scotland in 1905.

The photo below was probably taken in about 1915, Grandma is the girl on the front row nearest the window  incidently all the people in this photo are her siblings.

The next photo is of grandma (in the middle) and 2 of her sisters probably taken in the late 1920’s?

This one of Grandma was taken in the late 1940’s i think? with my Dad’s 2 cousins.

Recycle Vintage Buttons into Fun Jewelry Bracelets

Continuing on the theme of vintage buttons, we’re showing the bracelets made of vintage buttons. If you are like me and most other vintage clothing addicts you have a large stash of buttons hoarded away. The bracelets or other jewelry is a fun way to use and show off some of those buttons. These are sewn onto wide elastic bands, so they will fit various arm sizes.

Whether you choose to use glass, plastic, Bakelite, celluloid or metal buttons you can produce any number of great looking pieces. Selecting the colors and sizes is not only fun but challenging to find just the right combinations to stack. Adding in a few beads or small charms also gives the bracelet some identity or theme.
